Finished my summer bag and love the vibrant Bali colors! These are are my favorite summer colors, so it will be hanging on my shoulder a lot. The bag is very sturdy, has pockets, and a great size, just big enough for the basics (but not your husbands wallet, keys, phone….)   I used the Bailey Island Hobo pattern by Aunties Two. I got mine at my LQS, but you can also find them online via your friend, Google. The pattern…

So I FINISHED my postage stamp quilt last weekend 🙂    I think it looks great on my dining room table with my sea turtle terrarium! This pattern is perfect for my Avalon Jelly Roll (Fig Tree) that I’ve been hoarding for the past year or so. I started with this free pattern from the Moda Bake Shop by Julie Sebire. Changes: I wanted a 34″ square quilt to use as a table topper (Julie’s is 56″), so I only used…

I used 2.5″ charms from Ducks In a Row and Babytalk for this mini bib.  Bright and cheerful, and perfect size for a newborn. I am also working on a couple of larger bibs from a pattern I purchased…

I have a couple of WIPs on my sewing table this week. First is a spring table runner I started a few weeks ago using this charming Lovely Lattices pattern I found on Moda’s website. I (of course) changed it a little by adding 1″ strips between the blocks and a border.  I will provide more details when I post the finished project.  Moda assigned the difficulty level as moderate for this pattern, and I feel that is correct. Definitely improved my…

I just love the new Bluebird Park fabric by Kate & Birdie with the little hummingbirds, so I snatched up a few fat quarters at my LQS to make myself some much needed oven mitts and potholders last weekend. These are the sad potholders that currently adorn my kitchen 🙁 So happy with my new hummingbird mitts, goodbye 80’s chickies. There are several other fun fabrics in this line that were not at my shop (love the little rabbits and bicycles), so…
