Mini quilts seem to be the new quilting craze at the moment, and no wonder, they are so fun to piece and quilt! I am always in awe of quilters that make beautifully pieced queen size quilts, but just don’t believe they are in my DNA . I am happiest working on projects that I can complete in a few weeks, so it’s not surprising that I love this mini craze so much, I was able to piece my cherry mini in one weekend!

The Mini Cherry Pie pattern is by Fig Tree & Company and you can find the pattern here. I downloaded all 4 of Joanna’s mini patterns, and I love all of them! I chose to add this checkerboard border on my Cherry Pie, it’s the same design as the border on the Mini Canned Pear pattern.

I plan to hang the Cherry Pie and Canned Pear minis in my dining room. Should look pretty nice with my current table top quilt!

My quilting room definitely needs its own mini wall, so Fig Tree’s Mini Blossom and Mini Stitch are first on that todo list, and I also have future plans for several of Camille’s mini’s (from what I hear the originator of this craze). Here is a link to her wonderful mini patterns at Thimble Blossom. Love her mini swoon and mini thimbles!
My cherry pie quilt was featured at Fort Worth Fabric Studio!

Thanks for stopping by. Happy, happy sewing!!
